EATON’S Hydraulics Division has joined PLCopen, an industrial organisation dedicated to improving the automation engineering and programming.
According to Eaton, the PLCopen software standards are becoming increasingly important for technology development, application engineering and market competition.
Eaton says the increasing integration of control technology with hydraulics will provide better value to users, while adhering to and promoting the standards will allow for faster adoption of the products.
Eaton will announce which new PLCopen initiatives it will participate in later in 2009.
PLCopen’s membership also includes Siemens, ABB, Beckhoff Automation, Bosch Rexroth, Parker and GE Fanuc amongst others.
