GOLDQUEST International Hydraulics, acquired by South African hydraulics brand BMG last year, is now trading as BMG Hydraulics.

“The acquisition of Goldquest Hydraulics forms part of BMG’s strategic plan, which is to broaden the Group’s product offering and solutions capability in the engineering marketplace," says Ian King, sales director of BMG. “BMG’s solutions driven approach to engineering encompasses a project management and consulting facility that integrates different technologies, from hydraulics and pneumatics, to electronics and information technology.

“BMG Hydraulics, headed by managing director, Greg Lester, combines quality branded components, hydraulic engineering and contamination control, as well as a test and repair service, to ensure optimum performance and extended service life of a customer’s hydraulic systems.

“The new division follows stringent ISO 9001:2000 accredited procedures to ensure the integrity of every hydraulic system."

BMG Hydraulics will retain Goldquest’s distribution rights for hydraulic brands like Eaton/Vickers, Kawasaki Staffa, Marzocchi, Bieri, Hydrokraft, OMT, Larzep, Pister, Schroeder, EP Italiana, ISO, Blanke, Oleoweb, Emmegi and Pilan.

Products available from BMG Hydraulics include variable and fixed displacement pumps, industrial and mobile valves, accumulators, low- and high-speed motors, as well as cylinders.

BMG Hydraulics says they offer a complete turnkey project capability on hydraulic systems.
