THORITES says it has teamed up with Norgren to produce an free of charge, Guide to Energy Saving which is targeted as indispensible for the compressed air industry.
According to Thorites, many people in industry wrongly assume that compressed air is a cheap or even a free source of power, which it is not. With numerous independent studies confirming the industry wastes around 30% of the compressed air it generates.
Thorites is said to be UK's biggest distributor of compressed air products and process systems, whereas Norgren is UK's biggest distributor of compressed air products and process systems.
The new Guide to Energy Saving is said to clearly demonstrate how to cut waste and to increase compressed air system efficiency, with the resulting cash savings clearly laid out. The guide is industry applicable as compressed air wastage can be a result of leakage, misuse, over pressurisation, pressure drop, inefficient generation, lack of maintenance and poor installation engineering.
