SCHROEDER Industries has released a device to measure the level of solid particle contamination in hydraulic systems.
The Testmate Monitoring Unit (TMU) has all of its components housed beneath a single surface and is contained within a robust carrying case.
The components include a digital display, input controls, a power switch, connection points for power supply and fluid inlet and outlet ports.
The unit incorporates an optical sensor and can measure particles in four sizes, including greater than four, greater than six, greater than 14 and greater than 21µm.
The company says the unit can be used for maintenance and service applications on reservoirs, control circuits, high pressure circuits and mobile hydraulics. It meets the ISO 4406:1999, SAE AS 4059 and NAS 1638 standards.
